The control point that decides whether an access request should be allowed, denied, or constrained.
Definition
A decision point is the component that evaluates an access request by analyzing who is requesting access, what is being consumed, when the request happens, where it is directed, why the access is needed, and how the identity is being used. It is the reasoning center of a Zero Trust model and depends on complete, reliable, and contextual information to produce a decision.
