Privileged access management
Micro-Segmentation
A deeper form of segmentation that controls access at a very granular workload or application level.
Definition
Micro-segmentation pushes segmentation closer to individual applications, services, workloads, or critical paths. Instead of securing only broad network zones, it creates narrow and explicit communication rules between components. This is especially useful when protecting sensitive assets in hybrid and distributed environments.
The Ariovis perspective
Privileged security should begin by reducing standing privilege, governing accounts and automating grants and revocations. Vaults, bastions and session controls are reserved for the use cases that genuinely need them.
