Critical Application Deferral
Critical Application Deferral is the postponement of onboarding for high-impact applications even though they should be prioritized.
Definition
Critical Application Deferral occurs when the applications carrying the highest business, regulatory, or security risk remain outside the target IAM model while less important targets are onboarded first. This delays the actual reduction of exposure and weakens the value of the migration program.
The Ariovis perspective
Migration choices should reflect application criticality, hosting, protocol support and operational readiness. Ariovis favors progressive onboarding over a big-bang assumption.
