A Validation Level is the degree of approval rigor required before a right can be granted.
Definition
A Validation Level is a governance concept used to differentiate approval requirements depending on the sensitivity of the requested access. Standard rights may require a simple manager decision, while critical or exceptional rights may require multi-level validation involving application owners or security stakeholders.
