Exceptional Access is access granted outside the normal baseline because of a temporary, special, or sensitive need.
Definition
Exceptional Access is access that falls outside the standard structural or business model and exists to support a special need such as temporary work, critical intervention, testing, or constrained licensed usage. Because it deviates from the normal model, it requires tighter approval, time-bounding, and review.
