Identity governance

Business Access

Business Access is access linked to a person's operational activity, function, or team responsibility.

Definition

Business Access refers to permissions that are justified by the user's job activity, mission, or recurring business responsibilities. It usually reflects the person's role in the organization and should ideally be modeled and governed as part of normal access design.

The Ariovis perspective

Roles are useful when they reflect stable business responsibilities and remain governable. Ariovis avoids forcing every exception into the role model and complements roles with controlled requests or contextual authorization.

These concepts matter most inside a real project.
