An orphan privilege is a right or privileged capability that remains active without a valid current business justification.
Definition
An orphan privilege is an access right, role, or elevated capability that continues to exist after the original need has disappeared. It commonly results from weak joiner-mover-leaver execution, weak recertification, or weak exception cleanup.
